This add-on extension for Magento 2 allows you to utilise the CMS power of WordPress in your Magento 2 store. The extension will remove the 'blog' part of your URLs so that you can create CMS pages in WordPress and have them display at the root of your Magento 2 installation.

WordPress Page as Magento 2 Homepage

You can build the perfect page in WordPress and set it as your homepage for your Magento 2 site. To do this, create the page in WordPress and set it as your WordPress homepage (Appearances > Customise > Static Front Page) and then go to Stores > Configuration > Web > Default Pages in the Magento 2 Admin. Find the option labelled 'Default Web URL' and change it to the following:

wordpress/post/view/id/2

You will need to change the '2' to the ID of the page that you want to use as your homepage.

We have used the root extension for both Magento 1 and 2 with great success. It has allowed us to use Visual composer to design our main CMS pages and to setup URL structures within Wordpress to maximize content silos for better SEO. The installation is extremely simple, and the support is top notch.
